Featuring coffee from Jinotega, Nicaragua, this wet milled and strictly high grown Arabica consists of Marsellesa and Catuai varieties. It is grown on Finca Alas de Dios, and only the ripe beans are meticulously hand picked every 7 or 8 days during harvest season which stretches from late November to early February to insure a superior coffee. By carefully selecting only the ripe beans, the coffee grown on this farm insures a fully developed and clean cup, with a robust sweetness and smooth finish. Our Nicaraguan Coffee is suave and low-key, featuring a bouquet of molasses and honey aromatics, with nuances of chocolate and graham cracker. We are sure you will be pleased with every sip of this medium bodied and sweet and smooth coffee- a really nice balance between flavor and roast profile at this roast level!
We have a simple mission here at US Roast; To perfectly roast the most delicious coffee in the United States.
We know there are a lot of good companies in the US that can provide fresh roasted coffee, but we know that good people buy from other good people. We are glad to have a team that is committed to serving others out of a selfless desire to help others.
People like Scott Glover, our founder, whom also founded Mid America Flight Museum , a non-profit/501 (c)(3), to honor Veterans, mentor kids, preserve aviation history, and provide opportunity for community involvement.
People like Martin Rojas, general manager, whom founded Alas de Dios, a non-profit/501 (c)(3), in order to alleviate poverty and educate children in the poorest Latin American Country in the world, Nicaragua.
By responsibly sourcing from the best coffees around the globe, our staff insures that we sample and select from the best green beans available globally, be it a Kenya AA Kianyangi, or a Colombia Huila microlot. We then find the best roast profile intersection between the natural flavor inherent within the bean itself, and the roast level of a specific bean. Finding the perfect balance between flavor and roast helps us deliver exceptionally delicious coffee to good people all over the globe.
We believe in hard work and integrity
We believe in values and building long-term relationships with customers
We believe that roasting the freshest and highest quality coffees is the bedrock of our business
You do not need anything fancy if you are just getting started in experiencing better and more flavorful coffee. But, you should buy whole beans since ground coffee can stale within a few days from opening the package. As a matter of fact, a $10 spice grinder (thoroughly clean or buy a new one- you do not want coriander in your single origin!) will do in a pinch if you shake it up and down as the blades are spinning (you want the consistency to be about that of regular sand). Once you experience the flavor benefits of grinding your own coffee, you may want to invest in an inexpensive flat burr grinder, or even splurge a bit more for a conical burr grinder. We promise grinding your own coffee will elevate your coffee drinking pleasure to new heights of freshness and flavor.
NOT TO BE FED TO DOGS OR CATS
"People are always asking what I feed Randi because her coat is so shiny and she looks so healthy. She's been on this food since the day I got her 6 years ago. Wouldn't feed her anything else! "
"I've been a customer for many years. My first two dogs, Dakota and Sierra, lived 15 and 13.5 years respectively and went from the puppy food, to adult food, to the senior food blend with Glucosamine as they got older. Service has always been top notch and the home delivery is fantastic. Now my dogs, Dodger and Sasha, are happy healthy Nature's Select dogs!"
"The absolute BEST customer service! Our dog LOVES this food and we know it is great for her. They really won us over and gained customers for life!"
