Happy Hanukkah!

Whether your family celebrates or your friends do, we hope the next 8 days are full of delicious food, festive fun, and special memories. Not familiar with the Jewish holiday? Here are some fun Hanukkah facts

Hanukkah FACTS & TRADITIONS

  • Other Hanukkah customs include playing with four-sided spinning tops called dreidels. Learn how to play here.
  • It is a tradition to light a nine-branched menorah to commemorate the miracle that a one-day supply of oil lasted for eight days. Make sure you have 8 candles for each night of Hanukkah!
  • Continue a Hanukkah tradition and purchase some chocolate coins, or gelt. The Yiddish word “gelt” means “money" in English.

  • “Hanukkah Sameach!” means "Happy Hanukkah" in Hebrew.
